Washington's college enrollment rate declines

Using data from the Washington State Education Research & Data Center (ERDC), the Seattle Times found that although Washington ranks 9th in the nation when it comes to the percentage of adults with post-secondary degrees, Washington ranks 47th when it comes to the percentage of 18 to 24 year olds enrolled in full time college. Washington also ranks 46th in the nation when it comes to the percentage who enrolled in college full time right after school. In 1992, Washington ranked 11th for the percentage of high school graduated who went straight to college full time.
